Joseph Kyrillos joined Newmark as a senior managing director in the Rutherford office in 2013. For the past 15 years, he has enjoyed a distinguished career in both the private and public sectors, and has been involved in an array of transactions across New Jersey, New York City and Washington, DC. At NGKF, Mr. Kyrillos focuses on sales and marketing.
At the age of 27, Mr. Kyrillos was elected to the New Jersey State Legislature, serving as its youngest member. Following two terms in the General Assembly, Mr. Kyrillos was elected to the State Senate in 1991. He formerly served as majority conference leader and currently serves on the judiciary and economic growth committees. Mr. Kyrillos began his career in the industry with Associated Realty in Parsippany, NJ, in 1998. The firm became part of GVA Williams and later Colliers International. In 2009, Mr. Kyrillos was chairman of Governor Chris Christie’s successful campaign and a member of his transition team and liaison to all its sub-committees. He was selected as chairman of the New Jersey Republican State Committee, where he served from 2001 to 2004. In 2012, he was his party’s nominee for the United States Senate.
Mr. Kyrillos has served and continues to serve on numerous national, state and community boards and commissions including the Executive Committee and Foundation of the National Conference of State Legislatures, the board of trustees of the American Council of Young Political Leaders, New Jersey Historical Society, Garden States Arts Center Foundation, Count Basie Theatre, Two River Theater and the Monmouth County Historical Association.
Mr. Kyrillos graduated from Hobart College with a master’s degree from Boston University. He is a licensed real estate sales professional.
Mr. Kyrillos resides in Middletown, New Jersey with his wife, Susan, and their children, Max and Georgia.
