John Hereford, MAI, joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2018 and currently serves as a First Vice President and retail valuation team member in the Chicago office. Additionally, Hereford is a member of the Retail/Regional Malls and Retail Petroleum & Restaurants specialty practice groups.
Hereford is responsible for completing appraisal and consulting assignments for a range of clients including financial institutions, municipalities, law firms, governmental agencies and private property owners. Throughout his career, Hereford has prepared appraisals for a variety of property types including single and multi-tenant retail shopping centers, regional malls, gas stations, car washes, general and medical offices, industrial facilities, proposed multi-unit and townhome developments and mixed-use property types. Hereford has also completed valuations for condemnation cases, ad valorem tax assessment appeal purposes and estate planning.
Prior to joining Newmark, Hereford was a Senior Appraiser with Appraisal Associates in downtown Chicago.
