John Feeney currently serves as an Executive Vice President in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s New York, New York office. A 40-year corporate real estate veteran, Feeney has substantial expertise in the valuation of complex residential and commercial assets. Experience includes large and small scale conversions of office buildings and hotels to residential uses, the largest and tallest condominium developments in the City, Mitchell- Lama conversions to market rental use, Section 8 and Section 236 housing developments, and mixed-use/mixed income developments throughout the City.
Feeney came to Newmark after serving as an Executive Director for fifteen years at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. which he joined in March 1985. John was responsible for co-leading the National Multifamily Specialty Practice beginning in 2010, and orchestrated revenue growth resulting in the highest amount of any specialty practice group. He was also the leader of the NYC Multifamily team beginning in 1997.
Feeney has been a guest speaker at the Columbia Society of Real Estate, HAWK University of Applied Sciences, NYU’s Masters in Real Estate Program, Columbia University’s School of Business Real Estate Club, the Appraisal Institute Metropolitan District Chapter No. 4, and others.
Feeney is qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Counties of New York, Queens and Nassau, as well as in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
