John Busi MAI, FRICS, joined Newmark in 2016 as president of Newmark Valuation & Advisory. As one of the most respected global figures in property valuation, John has led Newmark’s explosive growth in its valuation and advisory practice both through acquisitions and recruiting top talent. John also sits on the Knight Frank Global Valuation Management Board and is a member of the Newmark Global Operating Committee.
John joined Newmark after 35 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he held the position of president and global lead of the valuation and advisory division. He was also a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s global operating committee.
Over the course of his career, John has distinguished himself as one of the foremost innovators in the valuation business. The Newmark V&A platform leverages real-time analytics with a focus on aligning next-generation technologies with best-in-class valuation professionals.
John’s appraisal and consulting assignments have included world-renowned trophy office buildings and market-dominant fortress shopping malls; major development sites and assemblages; special use industrial properties; transferable air rights; and institutional investment properties throughout the United States.
