Jim Sheldon has specialized exclusively in industrial properties since 1984. Mr. Sheldon joined Newmark’s Salt Lake City office (formerly Newmark Grubb ACRES, founded as NAI) in January 1999 following a 15 years with CB Richard Ellis, where he served as first vice president. The move marked another crucial step in Mr. Sheldon’s business development. Mr. Sheldon’s corporate background, high technology orientation and commitment to the long view has enabled him to enjoy relationships with companies ranging from local sole proprietors to multinational corporations. Mr. Sheldon’s primary focus is on sales and large scale property transactions.
Possessing more than 25 years of experience competing exclusively in Utah’s industrial real estate market has provided a firm foundation for understanding every aspect of the real estate market and working effectively with all the industries. Mr. Sheldon’s local foundation is solid, starting by researching and building his company’s database, then leasing his mentor’s properties. That work evolved into securing listings followed by the sale of buildings and land - improved and unimproved, speculative development consultation, and income property sales.
