Jerry Hopkins joined Newmark in 2017 as a Senior Managing Director with the Net Lease Capital Markets group. Hopkins and fellow net-lease specialists Ken Hedrick and Andrew Ragsdale work together to help lead the practice group. A top producer nationally, Hopkins brings to Newmark 14 years of expertise in retail, office and industrial single-tenant deals.
Prior to Newmark, Hopkins was a Senior Director at the Stan Johnson Company, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based commercial real estate investment firm. Prior to his tenure at SJC, Hopkins served in several sales positions at IBM, where he called on Fortune 500 clients in the financial services and distribution sectors.
For the past 14 years, Hopkins has focused on logistics leased properties. He has sold an industry-leading 75 FedEx properties totaling more than $600 million in sales. He has also worked on several high-profile and complex tax-deferred 1031 exchange deals valued in excess of $250 million. In conjunction with his partners, Ken Hedrick and Andrew Ragsdale, Hopkins has successfully closed approximately 325 transactions worth more than $3.00 billion in volume.
Hopkins is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a licensed real estate broker in Oklahoma. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the track and field program. He enjoys spending time with his family and dogs as well as reading, and he has completed nine marathons.
