Jennifer Bernstein, a Director at Newmark, is an experienced retail real estate professional specializing in representation for luxury and contemporary brands.
A born-and-raised New Yorker and twelve-year industry veteran, Bernstein previously served as Vice President at CBRE from 2023 to 2025. In this role, she led leasing efforts for American Eagle—including the relocation of their Soho flagship from 599 Broadway to 560 Broadway—along with Todd Snyder at 1165 Madison Avenue and Unsubscribed stores on Madison Avenue, in Westport, and in Santa Monica. She has also overseen the national rollout of LoveShackFancy, including their new flagship on Broome Street in Soho. Bernstein represents Topologie in their U.S. market entry, securing locations in Soho, Los Angeles, Miami, and Costa Mesa, and manages work for Moleskine, including new stores in Boston, Bethesda, and New York City.
From 2019 to 2023, Bernstein was Senior Managing Director at Current Real Estate Advisors, where she led the firm’s retail leasing group across both tenant and landlord representation. Her accomplishments included more than 25 stores for Leap in Manhattan, six East Coast locations for Glowbar, and multiple stores for American Eagle and its subsidiary brands. She also represented landlords such as Premier Equities, Continental Ventures, and select Upper East Side cooperatives.
Bernstein spent six years at ABS Partners Real Estate beginning in 2013. Her tenant representation included Kellogg Company, Momofuku, Milk Bar, Bandier, Hickey Freeman, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Brodo, MNDFL, Keetsa and SLT. On the landlord side, she worked with Acadia Realty Trust, Hudson Companies, and Croman Real Estate.
Before entering real estate, Bernstein was a Senior Account Executive at Goodman Media International, where she handled public relations for media, publishing, and consumer clients including Grand Central Terminal, The New York Times, Reader’s Digest, Time Home Entertainment Inc., PBS, Telemundo, Sports Illustrated, and the Hess Toy Truck.

Bernstein is a 2009 graduate of New York University, where she was a University Honors Scholar and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications. She lives on the Upper East Side of New York City with her husband, two children, and dog.
