James P. Cassidy joined Newmark in 2016 as an Executive Managing Director in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, where he specializes in capital markets transactions and co-heads the investment sales business. Mr. Cassidy brings to his position more than 28 years of commercial real estate experience, in both investment sales and leasing. During his career, he has participated in more than $33 billion worth of sales transactions. In 2012, he was named one of the “Top Forty Under Forty” real estate executives by Real Estate Forum, and in 2013, Commercial Property Executive singled him out as one of the industry’s “Stars to Watch.” He provides owners of institutional real estate with disposition services for office and multi-housing buildings and land as well as joint venture structuring, recapitalization and debt and equity placement. He serves clients in the Greater Washington area as well as throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
Prior to Newmark, Cassidy was a member of the Capital Markets Group in the Washington, DC office of Cassidy & Pinkard, which was also known as Cassidy Turley, DTZ, and Cushman & Wakefield during his tenure.
