James C. Johnson joined Newmark’s capital markets team in 2019 and serves as Vice President for the Debt and Structured Finance group in the Pacific Northwest. James brings to his position 25 years of commercial real estate experience that includes mortgage banking, valuation, cost segregation, and property tax appeal. James has experience with multifamily, student housing, senior housing, industrial, self-storage, office, hospitality and retail properties.
James has executed loans with various types of structures including permanent, bridge, equity and mezzanine financing. James’s loan origination experience includes the lenders HUD (221 (d) (4) and 223 (f)), Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Insurance, CMBS, Debt fund, bank and credit union.
James holds a Principal Brokers real estate license with the State of Oregon and was previously licensed as an appraiser in the State of Oregon. James graduated from The University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.
