Eric DeStefano joined Newmark in early 2020 as an Assistant Vice President within the Debt & Structured Finance team at Newmark’s Philadelphia office. He is tasked with overseeing debt origination and structured finance for multifamily and commercial assets. With extensive expertise in both institutional and private markets, he operates on both regional and national levels, bringing more than a decade of experience across various asset classes and a broad range of lending executions, including permanent, bridge, construction, and equity financing.
DeStefano and his Philadelphia-based capital markets group take great pride in their long-standing client relationships. They provide unparalleled expertise across a diverse capital base, which includes Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Insurance Companies, regional and national banks, CMBS, and fund investors. Prior to joining Newmark, DeStefano worked for Barings Multifamily Capital, assisting in debt origination on a national scale across various capital structures. Before Barings, he began his career at Fannie Mae, where he held multiple positions over a 3-year period.
DeStefano enjoys golfing and coaching lacrosse in his free time. He also enjoys traveling, having spent all of 2017 living and traveling around Australia. Eric now resides in Mount Laurel, NJ with his wife Martha.

DeStefano graduated from Salisbury University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
