Eric DeStefano is an associate on the Debt & Structured Finance team in Newmark’s Philadelphia office. He is responsible for assisting in debt origination and structured finance for multifamily and commercial assets. With expertise in both the institutional and private space, he operates on a regional and national scale with experience across the capital spectrum.
Prior to joining Newmark, Eric worked for Barings Multifamily Capital, assisting in debt origination on a national scale across various capital structures. Before Barings, he began his career at Fannie Mae, where he held multiple positions over a 3-year period.
Eric and his Philadelphia-based capital markets group pride themselves on their long-term relationships, offering clients expertise across a diverse capital base including Life Companies, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, regional and national banks, CMBS and fund investors. The group’s success is attributed to a dedicated work ethic, transparency, and customer service, driven by the mindset that trust is earned and re-earned every day.
Eric enjoys golfing and coaching lacrosse in his free time. He also enjoys traveling, having spent all of 2017 living and traveling around Australia. Eric now resides in Mount Laurel, NJ with his wife Martha.
Eric graduated from Salisbury University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
