Emily Richardson is Director of Performance Management for Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) group. Her primary focus is leading the GCS risk management program, as well as stewardship of the operational risk management client service.
Richardson is an entrepreneurial-minded leader with a diverse range of experience within the real estate industry. Prior to joining Newmark in 2021, she was with Knotel, a strategic partner to Newmark in the rapidly-growing flexible office market. Her most recent role was as Head of Cost Control for Knotel where she redesigned the operational cost tracking methodology to align with the company’s business model.
Richardson also developed and implemented compliance measures to control cash flow and minimize financial liabilities. Before moving to cost control, Richardson worked in product research at Knotel, where she focused on technology enablement of the built environment, and the in-house development of client and broker-facing digital products.
Previously Richardson was with PSAI Realty Partners, an office and industrial owner in San Francisco, and Columbia University.

Richardson holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and minor in Economics.
