The chairman of Newmark Grubb Cressy & Everett, Don Cressy has been actively involved in all facets of commercial real estate since the 1970s, starting his career with residential properties before moving on to commercial properties and development. Mr. Cressy is the co-developer of University Park Mall, a 1.0 million-square-foot regional mall, and along with Newmark Grubb Cressy & Everett he has developed numerous shopping centers and professional office buildings. He is also the leader of a development team that is presently developing a $900.0 million master-planned community known as Edison Lakes Corporate Park in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Mr. Cressy has served on numerous not-for-profit and civic boards, many as president, and he has also chaired numerous non-profit fundraising campaigns. In 2011, Mr. Cressy was named to the inaugural class of the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. The Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame honored and recognized 60 individuals from 14 Midwest states who have made the industry what it is today. He was spotlighted in the December 2010/January 2011 issue of Midwest Real Estate News.
