Deric Obeldobel is a Vice President in Newmark’s Multifamily Debt & Structured Finance group, based in the McLean office. He partners with four senior producers, focusing on transaction origination, underwriting, and management across a wide range of lenders, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, life companies, and fund investors. Since 2022, he has been instrumental in the origination and placement of more than $1.3 billion in multifamily debt.
Obeldobel joined Newmark in 2019 as part of the Credit & Underwriting group, where he underwrote more than $3.8 billion in Agency debt transactions. Prior to Newmark, he was a senior associate in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ assurance practice, specializing in real estate lenders, including Freddie Mac’s multifamily division.
