David Mitchell, Vice Chairman, oversees all aspects of the transaction process from valuation, marketing and client contact, due diligence, negotiations of the purchase and sale agreement through deal funding. Mitchell is also involved in
client development and debt/equity sourcing. He has been directly involved in approximately $30 billion in multifamily transactions since joining Newmark. Mitchell has a leadership role within Newmark’s multifamily business running the
Houston office and serving on Newmark’s national Multifamily Advisory Council.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mitchell was a Manager in the Capital Markets Group of a large corporation where he was involved in the financial analysis, due diligence, financing negotiations and the restructuring of a $600 million private
equity portfolio. Before attending graduate business school, David spent two years at Merrill Lynch & Co.
