David S. Gray, MAI, MRICS joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2018 as an Executive Vice President in the Boca Raton office. He brings to his position more than 35 years of experience appraising a wide variety of property types including hotels, office buildings, retail centers, residential subdivisions, industrial buildings and vacant land.
Gray is a member of the Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure practice, which leverages robust technologies and data resources to provide comprehensive valuation and consulting services for a broad range of hotels, casinos and leisure properties. Additionally, Gray is qualified as an expert witness in Superior Court of Maricopa County, Arizona, Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida (Miami-Dade County); U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida; and Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia.
Prior to Newmark V&A Gray was a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s (C&W) Hospitality & Gaming practice. During his 18-year tenure at C&W, he also served as an Executive Managing Director and a member of the Valuation & Advisory group’s management team.
Prior to C&W, Gray worked for four years at Atlantic Hospitality Advisors, first as a principal and later as a partner. He served as manager of the firm’s Boca Raton office and provided a full range of consulting and valuation services throughout Florida and Caribbean.
Gray’s early career comprised four years of appraisal and consulting management at Landauer Associates with a focus on hospitality-related work, a role at American Realty Consultants serving most recently as Vice President, and the inception of his career began as an original staff member of Laventhol & Horwath’s valuation department.
