Daniel Watson currently serves as a Vice President in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Tampa, Florida office. A commercial real estate appraiser with over seven years of experience, Watson specializes in the valuation of multifamily and mixed-use properties, with additional expertise in senior housing, medical office, and industrial assets. He has completed assignments for a wide range of clients, including institutional lenders, banks, and private capital groups, across markets in both the Southeast and Northeast United States.
Watson began his career at Newmark in 2017, focusing on the valuation of medical office and senior housing properties across 15 states. Over time, his work expanded into general commercial appraisal with a strong emphasis on multifamily and industrial assets. In 2022, he joined Bowery Valuation in New York City as a Vice President within the private lending division, where he completed over 500 appraisal reports totaling more than $1 billion in appraised value. His work primarily focused on multifamily and mixed-use assets throughout the Northeast, with a particular concentration in New York and New Jersey.
Now based in Florida, Watson concentrates on multifamily valuation assignments across the state and throughout the Southeast, with a growing focus on supporting agency lending and capital markets activity in the region. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Florida and holds reciprocal licenses in Georgia, New Jersey, and New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Florida State University and is an active member of the Appraisal Institute.
