As an Associate Director with the Global Healthcare Services team Chris Witcher, CCIM, works with healthcare providers to develop and execute a real estate strategy that will align with the strategic, operational and financial goals of the organization. Witcher acts as a strategic advisor to physician groups and health systems, advising on portfolio strategy and management, market and location strategy, acquisitions and dispositions, asset monetizations, and lease and contract negotiations.
During his time with GHS, Witcher’s experience includes:
Developing and executing a portfolio plan for a large health system that would consolidate and reduce cost for the client’s real estate footprint around their main hospital campuses and provided market and site analysis for an ambulatory growth plan throughout their metropolitan area. The portfolio plan involved 700,000 square feet and 50+ lease and property acquisitions and dispositions.
Overseeing portfolio management for a number of regional multi-location medical practices providing portfolio strategy along with execution of lease transactions, acquisitions and dispositions, and sale-leasebacks.
To begin his career, Witcher leased several REIT-owned medical office portfolios totaling more than 500,000 square feet.
In addition, Witcher has also been involved in over 200,000 SF of medical office development, assisting the team and his clients in all phases of the development process, including strategy, site selection, deal structure, financing, selecting the design and construction team, leasing, and sales/marketing.
