Brandon F. Kidd joined Newmark in 2007 as a senior managing director of the Latin America Capital Group. Mr. Kidd possesses over 10 years experience, with seven years in Brazil, in investment sales, real estate and financial services. His principal responsibilities are to direct the company’s Capital Group operations. Mr. Kidd leads the company’s Investment and Financial services division, and is the lead originator on investment and divestment opportunities developed and presented by the company. Currently, he is managing a portfolio of sale and lease-back opportunities of over US$100 million.
Mr. Kidd’s expertise includes structured finance transactions involving construction, renovation or asset repositioning; investment properties; retail developments; build-to-suits; sale and leasebacks, joint venture equity, preferred equity, mezzanine debt, recapitalization/sale of partnership interest, bridge loans and construction loans. Mr. Kidd’s focus is to provide clients with strategic solutions to their real estate concerns, through creative advisory, transaction management, deal structuring and marketing expertise.
Mr. Kidd has acted as advisor/broker for several private equity firms in the placement of over US$150 million in investment properties. Mr. Kidd has acted as the lead transaction manager for clients such as Exxon Mobil, Wal-Mart, Alstom, Siemens, Alcatel, Kraft Foods, BASF, Bank of Tokyo, Valeo Industries and Motorola.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Kidd served as the country transaction manager for the Trammell Crow Co., where he was directly responsible for the ExxonMobil account.
Education
Mr. Kidd attended the University of Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with an emphasis in Spanish. He is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.
