Beau V. Cantera, MAI Cantera serves as a First Vice President in Newmark’s Valuation & Advisory group. He is also a member of the national Litigation Support Practice, which is comprised of experts in damages theory, valuation, accounting, finance, economics, land use, real estate industry standards and practices, capital market issues, and financial and statistical modeling. His experience as a qualified expert witness includes testimony in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the American Arbitration Association, Courts of Common Pleas, and various taxing authorities.
Cantera has been the primary professional involved with services utilized for arbitration, financing, lost opportunity/damages, estate planning, eminent domain, assessment appeal, bankruptcy, dispute resolution, litigation support, internal planning, rent studies and highest and best use analysis. Cantera has also provided valuation services in connection with international arbitration and has been actively engaged in the valuation of commercial real estate for over 20 years.
Cantera has provided valuation and consulting services in connection with numerous complex and or special purpose property types such as industrial land supporting operating power plants; data centers; a rail loop supporting oil export logistics; internationally acclaimed thoroughbred horse racing properties, located in Florida and Maryland; damages to a 300-acre development site in California, impacted by the California High Speed Rail project; a 1,200-acre quarry; a 27-acre, cold-storage, port facility; a 3,500 seat Esport arena development project; a former landfill and mining site, planned for 1 million square feet of industrial development; a corporate airplane hangar; and 450-acres of private hunting land, inclusive of expansive riparian rights and conservation areas.
