Alexandra Chapekis, CHIA, currently serves as a Senior Appraiser in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Chicago, Illinois, office. Chapekis has substantial expertise in the valuation and advisory of amusements, bowling centers, convention and conference centers, campgrounds and stayaway camps, family entertainment centers, hotels and resorts, aquariums, waterparks, and other leisure-related assets. She has completed appraisals and studies on assets ranging from less than $1 million to more than $200 million throughout the United States.
Chapekis joined Newmark after serving as an investment analyst with ValStone Partners, a private equity firm based in Birmingham, Michigan. In this capacity, Chapekis was responsible for constructing tailored financial models, conducting due diligence in pursuit of underwriting, creating and arranging future strategies for hospitality operations, and performing hospitality and commercial real estate analyses throughout the United States. She has analyzed assets valued between $1 million to more than $100 million.
Prior to ValStone, Chapekis served as an accounting assistant at The Accounting Office, Inc., performing bank reconciliations for approximately 100 clients, completing staff training, and creating and managing the firm’s social media accounts.

Chapekis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University’s Honors College, double majoring in Hospitality Business and Economics and minoring in Hospitality Real Estate Investment Management. Chapekis has completed numerous professional development programs, including the Jones Lang LaSalle Professional Workshop, the HVS Hotel Valuation Professional Workshop, and the Michigan State University Excel Modeling Professional Workshop.
