Newmark Represents Elior North America in 70,000-SF Lease at Metro Air Park Logistics Center in Sacramento

Newmark announces that the company represented Elior North America (“Elior), a leading food service management and packaged meal production company, in securing a long-term 70,000-square-foot cold storage lease at 7070 Badiee Drive in Sacramento, California.

Newmark Associate Director John Roth represented Elior in the transaction, providing national corporate representation and advisory services. Newmark Project Management is collaborating with Roth and the tenant to ensure the project remains on time and within budget.

“We were able to secure optimal lease terms for this space, despite the high costs of tenant improvements in today’s market,” said Roth. “This deal strengthens Elior’s regional supply chain and positions them for future growth, both locally and nationally.”

The state-of-the-art facility, part of the newly constructed Metro Air Park Logistics Center, supports Elior’s expanding food production and distribution operations in Northern California. The 110,000-square-foot warehouse, built between 2023 and 2024, features 18 dock doors, 32-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinklers, cold-chain readiness and dedicated office space.

The cold storage pipeline was 7.4 million square feet or 163.7 cubic feet in 1Q25, remaining historically elevated, according to Newmark Research. This surge is driven by increasing consumer demand for perishable goods and the need for advanced logistics to support the food and beverage industry.

Strategically located near major highways, including I-5, I-80 and Hwy 97/70, the facility enhances Elior’s logistics efficiency, enabling faster distribution and reduced costs. The lease consolidates Elior’s three existing locations in the greater Sacramento and Stockton area into a single, modern industrial hub, supporting approximately 55 employees.
