Newmark announces that Robert J. Vodinelic, MAI, MRICS, has been promoted to Head of Strategy for its Valuation & Advisory (V&A) business in the U.S. In his expanded role, Vodinelic will lead strategic planning, business development and client service initiatives for V&A, while continuing to support acquisitions and the recruitment of top appraisal talent across the platform.
“Valuation & Advisory is central to how clients make decisions across the real estate lifecycle – from capital allocation to portfolio strategy and risk management,” said Helene Jacobson, MAI, MRICS, Executive Managing Director, U.S. Practice Lead, Valuation & Advisory. “This role is about bringing greater cohesion to how we operate, ensuring our business is aligned, scalable and deeply connected to client priorities. Rob brings a rare combination of technical depth, leadership across multiple markets and a clear understanding of how to translate strategy into action – which makes him the right person to lead this next phase of growth.”
With more than 25 years of experience, Vodinelic has worked across a wide range of property types and assignments, including complex portfolio valuations, litigation matters and advisory engagements. He also provides expert witness testimony and has extensive experience supporting institutional clients. He joined Newmark in 2017 and has held several leadership roles, including Market Leader for Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, and Regional Managing Director for the Midwest and Northeast, and will also continue to lead the Industrial & Logistics Specialty Practice for Newmark’s valuation group.
“Our clients are making increasingly complex decisions and require precise, integrated advice that spans markets and disciplines,” said Vodinelic. “The opportunity is to further align our people, data and capabilities so we can deliver more consistent, insight-driven outcomes at scale. I’m focused on building on the strength of our business and continuing to elevate how we support clients across the full lifecycle of their real estate.”
