Newmark announces a new headquarters lease to ILC Dover–a globally recognized flexible containment solutions company–for the entire top floor (10,000 square feet) at the Tower at STAR, located at 1000 Discovery Boulevard in Newark, Delaware. Newmark Senior Managing Director Wills Elliman, MCR, SIOR, CCIM represented the tenant, ILC Dover, in the lease transaction to the landlord, an affiliate of Delle Donne & Associates, Inc.
ILC Dover serves a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, personal care, food and beverage, chemical, aerospace, healthcare and government agencies. With a long-standing Central Delaware presence, ILC Dover is well-known for being the only company to provide every US Astronaut a space suit since the very first Apollo mission; they continue to do so today.
“Due to growth in ILC Dover’s businesses, it needed additional space. The opportunity to be closer to the research and development communities and life science communities in Northern Delaware led to the choice of the Tower at STAR,” said Elliman.
Built in 2018, Tower at STAR is a 120,000-square-foot, ten-story tower with steel structure and glass façade located in the Wilmington South office market. According to Newmark Research, the Wilmington South office market recorded 4.5 million square feet of inventory, 11.4% vacancy rate and 5,872 square feet absorbed in the third quarter of 2020.
