I’m a leader in our Planning and Development team, specialising in development consultancy, site acquisition and disposal of development sites and opportunities for clients across all sectors nationally. My work includes development feasibility, planning, viability and delivery advice at both strategic and site-specific levels for a diverse range of clients.
I have expertise in advising landowners, developers and funders of complex, strategic and large-scale development proposals across the UK. I bring an understanding of political, commercial and technical processes concerning major land acquisitions and sales, site assembly, planning and delivery to projects. I also advise on conditional sale, option and land promotion agreements for strategic sites.
My clients include EDF Energy; St Modwen Properties Plc; St Congar Land; Topland Group Plc; Jaguar Land Rover; La Salle Investment Management; Whitbread Plc; Merton College Oxford; Christ’s Hospital Foundation; Shropshire Council; landed estates including Donnington Hospital Trust and the Fairhurst, Hesketh, Malmsbury and Bolesworth Estates.
Recent Projects
- Commercial, Industrial, Logistics – I advise clients on the provision of facilities, optimising deliverability and value through feasibility and delivery, and acquisition or sale of land in accordance with client needs. My recent work has included acquisition, development and planning advice for Jaguar Land Rover including Fen End, Gaydon, Whitley, Solihull and Halewood.
- Leisure – I’ve advised on hotel development, motorsport and large-scale sports and leisure facilities nationwide including viability and development advice. Recent examples include advising Whitbread, Drift Limits, surfing and related attractions.
- Strategic housing and employment development – I work on the selection of promotion or development partners at the most appropriate stage to meet client objectives and advising on strategy and approach for owner occupiers, developers and land-owners. Large scale proposals I’ve worked on include delivery of significant housing on behalf of Merton College Oxford and large-scale logistics and distribution proposals for clients including Jaguar Land Rover and St Modwen Properties Plc.
