Jane is an Associate based in our London West End office and has experience across various disciplines including Planning, Development, Affordable Housing, Regeneration, Valuation, Public Sector advisory and Site Assembly.
- Strategic development consultancy – Jane is involved in planning and development work to deliver comprehensive property development appraisals, helps clients improve asset value, secure planning permission, find a developer or sell development land and property. She also has experience on instructions providing development advice on a variety of schemes and the delivery of affordable housing, mixed tenure developments, master-planning and regeneration projects.
- Affordable Housing Consultancy – Jane advises developers on the delivery of multi-tenure housing from site inception, through the planning approval process to disposal. She has experience in using various affordable housing models to value affordable and has conducted valuations of the property portfolios of several developments across the UK. She works closely with Housing Associations and Registered Providers with the ultimate aim of delivering much needed Affordable Housing.
- Regeneration – Jane has experience in undertaking FVAs on behalf of developers, including those relating to estate regeneration opportunities. She collaborates closely with Registered Providers to receive a resolution to grant planning permission at Committee on behalf of Orbit Homes and Wates in respect of the estate regeneration scheme at Erith in the London Borough of Bexley. She has also provided estate regeneration advice to London Borough of Havering and Wates Residential joint ventures for sites across the borough. Furthermore, she has experience on the land assembly side of regeneration, advising TfL as part of the regeneration of Harrow on the Hill Station and its surrounding area.
- Homes England Experience – Secondment – Her time at Homes England as a Senior Manager in the Strategic Development and Infrastructure team, she had the opportunity to work on Joint Ventures; engage with a variety of stakeholders; review funding opportunities; and allocation of loan facilities. During her time there, Jane benefited from invaluable insight into Homes England and has gained an understanding in the processes that allow it to operate as a public body.
- London Continental Railways (LCR) – Secondment – Jane worked on a number of sites across the UK as a Development Manager, directly collaborating with stakeholders to explore development opportunities primarily on car parking sites to optimise usage and explore alternative redevelopment options. Her role also included reviewing appointed consultant reports and checking the viability outputs by running additional appraisal options testing on behalf of LCR.
- Government’s Department for Transport – Secondment – Jane has experience as a Principal Surveyor within the Group Property branch of the government department. Part of her role included directly advising ministers and working closely with stakeholders such as Crossrail and High Speed 1 and 2. She gained valuable experience balancing different stakeholder interests; keeping value for money for the taxpayer as the basis for every decision; exposure to ministerial influence on property related matters; and complex layers of governance involved with each decision.
