On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. In the wake of this announcement, governments and companies around the world started taking the necessary steps to protect public health including restricting large gatherings, limiting travel, and encouraging remote work, a workplace trend than has been gaining momentum for decades thanks in large part to technology.
However, remote work, or working from home, is not a good fit for everyone. Corporate culture, management style or collaborative requirements sometimes make remote work a challenge both the company and individual level, but the current health crisis is changing that.
The Newmark Workplace Strategy and Human Experience team want to help companies, employees, and managers transition to remote work as painlessly and with as little disruption as possible. To do this, they’ve put together a go-to guide with recommendations to make remote work more effective and keep employees PRODUCTIVE, CONNECTED, and HEALTHY.
