Tom McDugall is an executive managing director in the firm’s transaction management services area, residing in the Wayne, Pennsylvania, office. He has 24 years of commercial and corporate global real estate experience and brings his extensive financial, business and multi-market real estate expertise to servicing the firm’s clients.
Mr. McDugall has an appreciation for the day-to-day real estate administration requirements as well as the development and execution of a portfolio-wide optimization and cost-reduction strategy in support of his clients’ business and operational requirements. His experience in corporate real estate services includes a hands-on knowledge of lease administration, financial modeling, market analysis, labor analysis, site selection and transaction negotiation and execution.
His current multi-market clients with headquarters in the Philadelphia area include AmeriGas, B&I Auto Supply, Henkels & McCoy, Pennoni Associates and SupplyOne Packaging.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. McDugall was the CFO for a $3.5 billion division of SunGard Data Systems, where his responsibilities included supply chain and real estate oversight. Mr. McDugall oversaw a global real estate portfolio that included a combination of more than 200 owned or leased facilities, including eight data centers. While at SunGard, Mr. McDugall successfully managed a strategic $10 million real estate consolidation and cost-reduction initiative.
Mr. McDugall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Villanova University and is a certified public accountant licensed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
