Todd Grinspoon joined Newmark in 2006 as a managing director in the Washington, DC, office. Mr. Grinspoon brings to his position over 26 years of sales experience and 22 years of commercial real estate experience.
In 2008, Mr. Grinspoon helped form Newmark’s federal government services group, which represents owners and developers in the pursuit of winning federal lease and acquisition requirements. The team’s first win was a 575,000-square-foot build-to-suit for the National Cancer Institute’s new headquarters in Rockville, Maryland. Other successes quickly followed, and the team is currently representing various building owners and developers in approximately 2 million square feet of federal requirements around the country.
Since entering the real estate industry, Mr. Grinspoon has demonstrated consistent annual growth in square footage leased. Before working in the public sector space almost exclusively, Mr. Grinspoon had been particularly adept at serving the needs of clients in the high-tech and biotechnology industries as well as the needs of government contractors.
Prior to Newmark, Mr. Grinspoon served as vice president for Cassidy & Pinkard, where his clients included 4GL School Solutions, the American Correctional Association, Ameritel Corporation, AVIcode, Capella Health Care, Center for Systems Management, Centers for Behavioral Health, Computer I/O, Maximus, Mettler Toledo, NexTone, SAIC, Texas Instruments, Toll Bros., Inc., Waterford Development, LLC and ZAI.
Professional and Personal Affiliations
Mr. Grinspoon is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club of the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, DC (CREBA), formerly the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS® (GWCAR). He has also received the Leasing Transaction of the Year award of both CREBA and the Washington Business Journal. He is a former member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Tech Council of Maryland, where he served on both the steering committee for the Financial Executive Forum and on the CFO of the Year Award Committee. In addition, Mr. Grinspoon has served on the Golf Tournament Committee for the Association for Corporate Growth.
