As a director in Newmark’s Minneapolis office, Ryan Bohrer works with Executive Managing Director Jim Damiani, and Director Andrew Commers to provide strategic tenant representation services to fast growing and large tenants/occupiers in both the Twin Cities and across the country. The team also consists of a transaction manager, research and tenant experience specialist, and client services coordinator. The team is one of the most well-known and active tenant advisory teams in the Twin Cities metro. The team has an innovative approach to creating maximum negotiating leverage on behalf of clients, which often results in significantly “below-market” lease terms and notable cost-savings for their clients. The team is regularly featured in articles, panels, and other publications for their marketing knowledge and value-driven insights from the viewpoint of tenants/occupiers of space. The team has been assembled with its clients in mind, which is achieving optimal lease terms and dynamic work environments for each client’s employees. The team has diverse backgrounds, skill sets and comes from different generations with the goal of providing optimal service to its clients.
Ryan has represented a wide variety of tenants, from fast-growing tech companies, including Inc5000 and Fast 50 firms, to publicly traded Fortune 500 companies with footprints well beyond the Twin Cities and annual revenues of $2 billion. In 2019, the team combined to negotiate more than 800,000 square feet of space on behalf of clients.
Prior to joining the commercial real estate industry, Ryan played a year of professional hockey with TSV Peißenberg in Bavaria, Germany.
