Preston Thurner joined Newmark’s Chicago office as a Junior Associate, where he specializes in core and high-profile office leasing assignments within Chicago’s central business district. Before joining Newmark, Preston held a position in transaction management at Collier’s International, where he supported teams in lease abstraction and brokerage coordination in nearly every commercial real estate industry including Office, Industrial, Multi-Family, Land and Retail. Preston specializes in property leasing and advisory services, working alongside Bill Rolander, one of Chicago’s top advisors for building owners executing full-scale creative renovations and developments.
Notable assignments include 155 N Wacker Drive, 151 N Franklin Street or the CNA Building 625 W Adams Street, for Spear Street Capital. Preston is also involved in new developments including 605 W Davis in Evanston, IL and a future 1,300,000 SF development by The John Buck Company at 655 W Madison Street.
Preston’s other responsibilities include sourcing clientele, transaction negotiation, executing marketing strategies and gathering and maintaining data to which would be used in presentations with current and prospective clients.
Preston holds his Real Estate Brokers license with Illinois and Ohio while he also participates in organizations such as Young Office Broker’s Association (YOBA) and Real Estate Leaders of the Future.
Mr. Thurner received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Miami University (OH). He is a native of the Midwest having grown up in Cincinnati, Ohio.
