Natasha Tomai is a director in Newmark’s Stamford, Connecticut, office. She specializes in tenant and landlord representation in the Connecticut and New York markets, providing her clients will a full spectrum of real estate services and leveraging Newmark’s debt and capital marketing teams as needed.
Natasha comes to Newmark with many years of experience in the construction industry in New York City and Fairfield county, where she acquired an intimate working knowledge of the infrastructure, mechanical systems, amenities, building rules and regulations of many commercial properties. This knowledge allows her to identify and assess potential challenges to the feasibility of a fit out for a tenant as well as those areas that may affect construction schedules, budgets and occupancy target dates. Natasha’s extensive background in budget preparation for both landlords and tenants at various stages in the construction process gives her a clear understanding of common landlord responsibilities from a unique vantage point. Over the years, Natasha has developed relationships within the local municipalities, including the building and zoning departments, giving her insight into the procedures and timing that she uses to expedite approvals on behalf of her clients. The skills she has acquired from her construction background are an immeasurable value-add resource for her tenant and landlord clients.
Prior to Newmark, Natasha was the director of strategy at Signature Construction Group, where she managed the company’s business development and oversaw estimating, pre-construction planning and budgeting. Previously, as a project manager, she supervised high-end interior office renovations for the corporate offices of Albourne America, Cushman & Wakefield, Drum Capital, H2 Capital Partners and XL.
