Executive Managing Director Kimberly Cozza is part of the Production Management team of Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets group. Cozza works with the national multifamily origination team to drive increased production volume and enhance the client experience through strategic initiatives. She assists in the management of lender relationships and in collaboration with leadership to develop strategy, drive process improvement and develop infrastructure across the Multifamily Capital Markets platform.
Cozza joined Newmark in 2019 from Berkadia, where she had been a Managing Director responsible for GSE business development. In this capacity, Cozza assisted the firm’s national production network of more than 130 mortgage bankers with the sale of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac products and the firm’s platform to clients. Cozza was also responsible for the firm’s GSE production, including deal management/prescreening, as well as training and initiatives to bring speed, efficiency and growth to the firm’s origination volume. Her efforts helped Berkadia’s Fannie Mae volume grow more than tenfold during her nearly eight years at the firm. Prior to her tenure at Berkadia, Cozza was a Senior Producer in the multifamily division of Freddie Mac, where she worked with seven national high-volume lenders and was responsible for transactions totaling more than $1 billion annually in her final two years at the firm.
