Kevin Mignogna is a Vice Chairman with Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Newport Beach office. He joined the company’s predecessor firm in August 2011. Since joining the firm, he and his team, including Charlie Haggard, Peter Griesinger and Joey Guarino, have originated over $13.5B in multifamily and commercial loans nationwide. Mr. Mignogna has over 25 years of real estate debt and equity experience that includes the spectrum of multifamily property types: market rate, affordable housing, student housing, seniors housing, assisted living and mixed-use. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mignogna led Berkshire Property Advisor’s, now known as Berkshire Residential Investments, acquisition and investment activities in the western U.S. He acquired nearly $500 million of real estate and debt during his tenure with the firm.

Prior to his time at Berkshire, Mr. Mignogna founded 3B Partners Real Estate (3BP), a multifamily real estate investment company that acquired nearly 1300 apartment units with a market value in excess of $100 million while working under the terms of a correspondent agreement with Berkshire Property Advisors. Mr. Mignogna ran all aspects of 3BP’s business before his team joined BPA.

Before starting his own firm, Mr. Mignogna spent 13 years with Berkeley Point Capital, now Newmark, where he was a member of the company’s Executive Committee and held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter in the company’s west coast division. Mr. Mignogna was a voting loan committee member, and he had sole approval authority for loans up to $20 million. He oversaw a staff of 40 - 50 underwriting professionals engaged in the analysis and approval of business generated by twelve loan originators located in four offices throughout the state of California. During his tenure, Mr. Mignogna managed the structuring, analysis, and approval of billions of dollars in multifamily real estate debt nationwide.
