Joe Hudson joined Newmark as chief human resources officer in 2019. In this role, Joe leads all of the firm’s human resources functions, including the recruitment and retention of top talent firm-wide; human resources operations and systems; benefits and compensation; and leveraging data and analytics for continuous improvement across all workplace-related functions. Based in Dallas, Joe also has offices at the company’s New York headquarters and in Orange County, California.
Prior to Newmark, Joe worked at CBRE for more than 13 years, most recently as a human resources senior vice president. In this position, he was the global head of advisory services human resources, which encompassed supporting the global CEO and COO and the business leaders for 14 regions and 8 global lines of business. In this role, Joe led over 200 HR professionals supporting 45,000 employees and he was responsible for leading the development and execution of human resources strategy, including resourcing, learning and development, performance management, workforce analytics, compensation and benefits, and operations all in support of driving superior business outcomes.
Previously, Joe led CBRE’s Global Human Resources Operations team, overseeing data and analytics, human resources information systems, human resources shared service centers, payroll and human resources compliance reporting. Earlier in his career, Joe worked in a variety of human resources roles at various companies, including Arthur Andersen, Thelen Reid and Priest and Heller Ehrman.
