Jason T. Hutchins joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 as the firm’s Senior Managing Director of Valuation & Advisory Technology Strategies. Based in Houston, Texas, Hutchins is responsible for the strategic planning, development, maintenance and support of Newmark’s valuation practice technology platform. Currently, Hutchins and his team of elite developers, template/report writers and technicians are working to create a state-of-the-art platform offering the next generation of appraisal execution tools.
Hutchins joined Newmark after 20 years as the founder and director of CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services’ seven-member technology support team based in Houston, Texas. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading the development, training and support of the firm’s desktop technology platform. Hutchins also worked closely with CBRE’s Information Technology Group to deliver the industry’s first global valuation assignment management and comparable property database.
Prior to joining CBRE, Hutchins served for one year as a production analyst and portfolio-servicing underwriter at HFF. This position was preceded by six years as a valuation associate with the Gerald A. Teel Company in Houston.
Education
Hutchins earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with concentrations in finance and real estate from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Appraisal Institute coursework completed by Hutchins includes: Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice; Basic Appraisal Principles; Basic Appraisal Procedures; Highest and Best Use; and Income Capitalization Approach Parts 1 and 2.
