Gil Licudine, CPA, JD, is Senior Managing Director and Specialty Practice Leader of the Property Tax Services practice for Newmark’s Valuation & Advisory service platform. Based in the firm’s downtown Chicago office, Gil leads a group of property tax professionals, MAI designated appraisers and valuation experts who serve the property tax needs of the firm’s clients across the United States.
Throughout his career, Gil has assisted clients in all phases of the property tax cycle: pre-acquisition due diligence, assessment reviews and appeals, informal negotiations with assessing officials and presentations before formal boards of review. He has managed regional and national portfolios of properties for a variety of clients, including real estate investment trusts, institutional real estate investors, retailers, manufacturers and banks. In addition, Gil has personally filed assessment appeals in Cook County, Illinois and throughout the Midwest, saving his clients hundreds of millions of dollars in the process.
Prior to Newmark, Gil was a managing director with Cushman & Wakefield and Midwest regional leader of the firm’s property tax practice. He previously served as a senior managing consultant with Paradigm Tax Group, having been recruited to serve as geographic leader of its Chicago office. Prior to Paradigm, Gil was a director with PricewaterhouseCoopers and a senior manager with Deloitte.

Education
Gil earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and was subsequently admitted to the state bar of Illinois. He previously attended Loyola University of Chicago, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.
