Donnette Clarens began her real estate career in January 1998 at the Palo Alto office of Newmark, where she primarily worked with young venture-backed start-up companies on the Peninsula and in the South Bay. In May 2004, Donnette transferred her business to Newmark’s San Francisco office, where she focuses on the SOMA, Mid-Market and South Financial markets. She has based her real estate practice on respect for client goals, ethics and long-term relationships. Ms. Clarens spends her time relentlessly focusing on the needs of existing and new clients. The resulting philosophy is that she does not only win if her clients lease or buy real estate, but if they are pleased with the results of their working together.
Donnette has had great success in assisting both young venture-backed startups and established growing technology companies with locating space in this competitive real estate market. A few of the companies she has assisted are Google, Zendesk, Uber, Okta and Splunk.
Donnette has also had success in representing building owners on positioning, leasing and selling their assets. She enjoys projects that attract creative and technology tenants. Using her expertise with technology tenants, she helps building owners design and position their assets to attract those tenants.
In today’s market, the lease or sale of commercial real estate is extremely complex, with many opportunities for the client to succeed or fail. Donnette has developed the expertise required to ensure that her clients prevail. They have rewarded her with continued business and enthusiastically recommend her services to new clients, which have resulted in her being recognized as one of Newmark Night Frank’s sales leaders. To date, Donnette has completed over 10 million square feet of leasing and has consistently been a top performer within the organization.
