Brandon Burleson joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2020 and currently serves as a Vice President. Actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting since 2012, Burleson works as an appraiser for Newmark V&A’s Retail Petroleum & Restaurant Specialty Practice. He specializes in the appraisal of retail petroleum facilities and restaurants, including service stations, convenience stores, truck stops, lube facilities, car washes, quick-service restaurants and full-service restaurants. He has successfully completed valuations on various proposed, partially completed, renovated and existing structures.
Prior to joining Newmark, Burleson served as an appraiser with Hopkins Appraisal Services for eight years. He has appraised properties in the following states and commonwealths: Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland and Alaska. Prior to entering the appraisal field, Burleson was a licensed real estate agent at Grubb and Ellis based out of Orlando, Florida. He specialized in tenant representation and was responsible for the negotiation of lease transactions.

Per chapter 4 of the SBA’s SOP 50, Burleson has within the last 36 months, completed no less than 4 going concern appraisals of special use properties (car wash, gas station with or without a convenience store, restaurant, etc.).
Education
Burleson earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in real estate and finance from Florida State University. More recently, he successfully completed numerous real estate-related courses under the continuing education requirements of the Appraisal Institute.
