Aaron Kaufman joined Newmark in 2017 as an associate director in the firm’s New York headquarters, where he is a member of the veteran brokerage team led by Vice Chairman Moshe Sukenik, Chris Mongeluzo and Eric Zemachson.. Mr. Kaufman’s years of experience representing financial services tenants, particularly in Rockefeller Center and the Plaza District, further enhance the team’s already considerable capabilities and coverage within those markets. Mr. Kaufman also assists the team in its successful representation of some of the country’s most prestigious law firms.
Prior to Newmark, Mr. Kaufman served as a senior vice president in the New York office of Transwestern, a privately held real estate firm based in Houston. During his nearly three years with that company, he originated new business via canvassing, referrals, networking and new leads.
Previously, Mr. Kaufman worked at Vicus Partners, a boutique real estate firm based in New York. He completed his first tenant advisory assignments, including several at Rockefeller Center and in the Plaza District, while at the firm.
Mr. Kaufman began his real estate career in 2006 as a property manager with Tishman Speyer. During his two years in this position, he actively managed over 1 million square feet of Class A office space, including 630 Fifth Avenue, 30 Rockefeller Plaza (the GE Building) and Radio City Music Hall. Mr. Kaufman maximized short-term return-on-equity and increased the long-term economic value of the properties.

Education
A native New Yorker, Mr. Kaufman pursued his master’s degree in real estate at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he received his real estate certificate with a focus on finance. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Boston University. He is an avid tennis player and also enjoys music and the theater.
