Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark today announced that Standard Industrial, a unique, well-located, industrial, warehouse and office property in Sonoma County, Calif., signed four new tenants. With the latest additions to the roster of over a dozen existing industrial-use tenants, the transformation of the 300,000-square-foot property from a single-tenant to multi-tenant use is well under way.
The newly repositioned Standard Industrial has a long history of successful manufacturing and heavy industrial uses. The site comprises 300,000 square feet of vintage manufacturing buildings on 90 acres of land with over one million square feet of paved and rock yard area. The 20-foot minimum clear span heights, heavy industrial electric power and location are big draws for tenants, as is Standard Industrial’s ability to build-out the space as required. Warehouse space from 3,000 square feet to more than 50,000 square feet is available for lease as well as paved and rocked yard space and offices.
The Windsor, Calif. property is strategically located in Northern Sonoma County at the intersection of Shiloh Road and U.S. Highway 101 (the primary artery serving Sonoma County), offering significant highway frontage and excellent visibility from Highway 101. The Standard Industrial site also provides excellent access to rail and air transportation. The property is served by a rail spur from the Northwest Pacific Railroad and is conveniently located within close proximity to several regional, national and international airports.

Previously, the site housed Standard Structures, Inc. (SSI), a major supplier of engineered wood products in the commercial and multi-family construction industry. One of its more famous products is the oversized “Coke Bottle” at AT&T Park in San Francisco, home of the Giants. Three generations of Caletti Family members owned and operated SSI until it sold in 2011. The Caletti Family later formed Shiloh Oaks Company to manage and redevelop the property into Standard Industrial.
Relocating from Sebastopol, Calif., Sonoma Soil Builders moved into Standard Industrial in September of 2012. Mixing and blending its unique soil amendment blends in 2,000 square feet of warehouse space and 12,000 square feet of yard space, Sonoma Soil Builders is preparing for late September deliveries of its product to Sonoma County vineyards.
North Coast Tile and Stone, Inc., the North Bay’s Best Granite Fabrication and Tile Installation Company, expanded its business into 12,000 square feet in Standard Industrial in August of 2012. North Coast Tile and Stone is producing its residential market materials in its new space. Recent North Coast Tile and Stone commercial projects include the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park and the Whole Foods Market in Santa Rosa’s Coddingtown Center.
Founded in 2011 and providing sustainable growing solutions, NaturaTech moved into 9,000 square feet at Standard Industrial in June of 2012. NaturaTech manufactures and sells proprietary, sustainably-sourced, all-natural plant nutrient, additive, stimulant and ferilizer products to both the consumer and commercial horticultural and agricultural markets.
Internationally renowned American Sculptor David Best created his latest Burning Man Temple, “The Temple of Juno” in 8,000 square feet at Standard Industrial. The 80-foot high wood structure was built in sections on the Standard Industrial site over the course of two months this summer and then shipped out to the 2012 Burning Man Festival.
Some other Standard Industrial tenants include Redcuilt, an engineered wood products company; Northgate Ready Mix; Image Tree Service; Guys Fencing; PAR Electric; a metal fabricator; Legacy Photography and Quincy Engineering, which is involved in the extensive Shiloh Road Improvements that will make access in and out of Standard Industrial easier and more efficient.
