Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark today announced that the Concord, Calif., ServiceMaster Restoration Services and its ServiceMaster Recovery Management division plan to expand into a new location at 2121 Diamond Boulevard in late June. Representing the largest industrial lease in Concord this year, ServiceMaster leased the entire, 53,000 square-foot mixed-use complex. The firm will relocate existing Concord and Hayward operations that are located at 2350 Whitman Road and 2220 West Winton Avenue, respectively, into this larger facility.
Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark’s Jeff Fritch and Tyler Epting represented ServiceMaster in its lease with property owner Diamond Galaxy Partners.
“We are extremely excited to move into our new home,” said ServiceMaster owner, John Sappingfield. “We are an employee-owned business, and this move is a huge morale-booster. Our free-standing buildings will provide added security in a newly renovated storefront large enough for us to continue growing together in one location.”
ServiceMaster Clean, with more than 4,500 franchises around the world, has been in the cleaning and disaster restoration business for more than half a century. This particular office has earned a position in the “Top 10” of all ServiceMasters in the country as measured by transaction volume and has been thriving since opening its doors in 1985. The firm will relocate 50 employees and plans to add approximately 20 employees annually at the new location.
Previously home to Fitzpatrick’s Hummer & Chevrolet for over 30 years, 2121 Diamond Boulevard is undergoing extensive renovations. When completed, the property will offer a unique mix of office, retail and warehouse space suitable for ServiceMaster’s operations, which require more office space than a typical industrial tenant.
The updated property will include 13,306 square feet of office space, 5,862 square feet of retail space and 33,885 square feet of warehouse space all on 4.5 acres of land. ServiceMaster also built out a new, 100-person capacity conference center, which will be made available to clients to use at no charge.
“We are so pleased to have secured this ideal site for ServiceMaster Restoration Services,” said Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark’s Fritch. “This Concord location is very central to ServiceMaster’s business as the firm services communities from Sacramento to Fremont. The property itself perfectly accommodates ServiceMaster’s unique space requirement, and also features a substantial and secure yard. After an exhaustive search of the market, we found that the Diamond Boulevard property is a perfect fit and will best accommodate ServiceMaster’s growing business for many years to come.”
It’s these ServiceMaster Clean professionals who make up the ServiceMaster family, one of the world’s largest and most versatile service networks with locations in the U.S. and Canada as well as 14 countries around the world. Each year, we serve 10.5 million homes and businesses in the United States with cleaning and disaster recovery services, termite and pest control, cleaning and furniture maintenance, and home warranties.
These services are provided through a network of company-owned and franchised service centers and business units, operating under the following brands: TruGreen, Terminix, American Home Shield, ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids, AmeriSpec, Furniture Medic and ServiceMaster Recovery Management.
