Newmark is pleased to announce that the firm has successfully arranged the sale of two land parcels comprising 5.68 acres in Mayfield Village, Ohio, on behalf of the buyer, Artis Senior Living (Artis), who will be developing a new memory care residence on the site.
Virginia-based Artis Senior Living was founded in 2012 by the Bainum family and other senior care executives. Artis has senior living communities in nine states, including two Ohio locations: Cincinnati and Mason. The firm selected Newmark’s Managing Director David Hollister for its site selection analysis for its third Ohio location and to represent them in the negotiations of the sale. Hollister ultimately helped Artis secure the two Mayfield Village parcels due to its centralized location.
“We look forward to serving Mayfield Village and the surrounding area, as well as increasing Artis’ footprint with our third memory care residence in the state of Ohio,” said Artis Senior Vice President Jay Hicks. “It was a pleasure to work with such a professional and efficient team on this acquisition, as well as Mayfield Village for their invaluable assistance and cooperation.”
“I am proud to be able to be a part of Artis’ first Northeast Ohio venture,” said Hollister. “It is a fine organization that will provide an essential service to the community.”
Artis plans to build a one-story frame building on the land that would house a 72-bed dementia/memory care facility.
