NGKF Capital Markets is pleased to announce that Michael Poe has joined the Debt and Structured Finance Group as senior managing director in the company’s Chicago office. Poe will combine his 18-years of underwriting and execution experience in commercial real estate finance, including DUS® and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac agency lending with the existing and highly accomplished team of Executive Managing Director Joel Simmons and Senior Managing Directors Adam Levinson and Ben Greazel.
Prior to joining NGKF Capital Markets, Poe served as president of Inland Commercial Mortgage Group, the commercial mortgage brokerage arm of The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies (Inland Real Estate). Before joining Inland Real Estate, Poe was a principal at Mid-North Financial Services, a traditional correspondent commercial mortgage banking firm located in Chicago.
A highly-motivated individual, Poe is active in numerous professional and charitable endeavors. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) and serves on the programs committee for the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of REALTORS organization (NICAR). He also serves as a committee member of the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee and co-chair of an affiliated parent group which supports and educates parents with children of special needs.
Poe earned a Master’s Degree in Economics from Eastern Illinois University, where he minored in both business and political science. He is a licensed broker in the state of Illinois.
