Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is pleased to announce that NGIN Workplace will be opening a next generation of workspace that focuses on providing a healthy work-life balance with a high level of service and hospitality. With offsprings and affiliates of the Harvard and MIT community as founding partners, this fall NGIN will open its first 15,000-square-foot center as a living lab that deploys advanced technology to explore the future of “worklife”.
With a receptionist, a secretary on call, IT support and a variety of business services, NGIN will take care of its members more similar to what we are used to from a boutique hotel experience. To foster a healthy and productive community, members and visitors will enjoy nutritious snacks and premium coffee next to a vertical garden in the beautifully designed bistro.
“NGIN Workplace will provide a home for entrepreneurs, ambitious start-ups, small businesses and corporations looking to place teams closer to Kendall Square,” says Ryan Weber, senior managing director at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, who represented parent company GiN Hubs in the transaction.
Offering a more collaborative platform, NGIN Workplace will be able to house up to 150 people. Additionally, the facility includes a large space for conferences and training that will serve as event space, learning and think space. NGIN will provide professional training classes, workshops and conferences led by experts from the extended Harvard and MIT community. Space and service packages start at $400.
“We’re interested in creating a healthy and inspirational workplace that fosters ingenuity, comfort and community,” says NGIN Workplace’s user experience manager Jutta Friedrichs. “We can achieve the anti-cubicle environment and introduce a more hospitable, more productive way of working.”
The 210 Broadway building was acquired in early 2012 by BioMed Realty, which has secured such technology tenants as Canon and Smartleaf. The owner has been able to attract early and mid-stage companies at this property, as well as several other assets throughout its Cambridge portfolio comprising over 2.6 million rentable square feet of space.
“NGIN Workplace will be a great addition to what already is an innovative building and neighborhood,” adds Mr. Weber.
