It has been touted as one of the best new office buildings in New Jersey, and with the signing of three new long-term leases totaling 44,000 square feet, the Class A Centra Metropark continues to generate buzz. The Rutherford, N.J.-based Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team of David Simson, vice chairman and COO of NGKF’s N.J. operations, and Jamie Drummond, senior managing director, are exclusive leasing agents on behalf of the ownership, The Hampshire Cos. The LEED Platinum certified, 110,500-square-foot, five-story property is located at 186 Wood Avenue South in Iselin, N.J.
In the largest of the three transactions, each representing an expansion and relocation from elsewhere in the market, Grant Thornton has leased 31,288 square feet. The audit and tax advisory firm, which was represented by Mike Christian and Sam Horowitz of DTZ, will occupy the entire top floor of the signature building.

Stern + Associates, represented by Marc Rosenberg of Cushman & Wakefield, also has joined the tenant roster, leasing 7,558 square feet. Additionally, Atrium Staffing of NJ, which leased 5,272 square feet, was represented by Christian Politan of Cushman & Wakefield. Centra Metropark’s three newest tenants join current tenants NatApp, a data storage company, and 1-800-DOCTORS, a provider of information services relating to medical professionals.
Situated within walking distance of the Metropark rail station served by Amtrak and New Jersey Transit, Centra Metropark is across from the Woodbridge Hilton, has immediate access to the Garden State Parkway and is within minutes of the New Jersey Turnpike, I-287, Route 9 and other major highways. Onsite amenities include a full service café, fitness center and conference facility.
