Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail is pleased to announce that Winter Park Winery is opening its second Colorado location in Denver’s burgeoning Ballpark District as it expands from its home base in Fraser, Colo.
Located at 2811 Walnut Street, the full production winery and tasting room named Mile High Winery will showcase the handcrafted red and white wines of owner and vintner Jon Brickner and his wife and business partner Cassidi Brickner. The winery, scheduled for a Grand Opening early July, fulfills Mr. Brickner’s mission to share his distinctive wines with a larger audience. Mr. Brickner started his first winery in Fraser in 2004.
“We looked at several other locations across the Northwest and Southwest for our second winery, but we ultimately were drawn to the animated, art-influenced feel of the Denver Ballpark neighborhood,” said Cassidi Brickner. “We even designed the space to reflect this ambiance.”
The district’s 19th-century brick warehouses mixed with more recent industrial structures creates a unique historic urban atmosphere that has attracted artists, brewpubs, furniture makers, designers and urban agriculturists. The Ballpark Neighborhood/Rino District is also home to two open-air markets, a European-style marketplace that offers antique and vintage items, hand-made jewelry and art and other eclectic finds, and a farmer’s market that features farm-fresh food, flowers and baked goods.
