Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) is pleased to announce that Edwin M. Clark, III, and Stephen L. Hoffeditz have joined its Washington, D.C., office as executive managing directors.
The new hires reinforce NGKF’s commitment to expand with the most talented brokerage professionals in the metro area and come as the office receives two million square feet of new assignments, adding to the five million square feet of listings it has acquired in recent months.
Mr. Clark and Mr. Hoffeditz will head leasing efforts in Northern Virginia, a market they both specialized in during their previous tenures with CBRE. Together, they bring more than four decades worth of commercial real estate experience.
“Our goal at NGKF is to attract the very best professionals in each real estate discipline and each submarket around D.C. Steve and Ed are in keeping with that vision,” said Brendan Owen, chairman, asset services, for the Washington D.C. Metro area. “They are unquestionably the top office agency leasing team in Northern Virginia and will help take our expertise and services to that next level. I’m thrilled to welcome Steve and Ed to our team.”
Together, most recently as senior vice presidents with CBRE, they have represented over 16 million square feet of assets for numerous major clients in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and Northern Virginia, including KBS Realty Advisors, Monday Properties, Meridian Group, Prudential, TA Associates, and LCOR.
“Ed intuitively understands the challenges landlords and tenants face no matter what happens in the real estate environment. He considers all variables that can make or break the perfect landlord-tenant relationship,” said Mr. Owen. “Steve has the unique ability to see how a deal works from all sides and comes up with solutions that allow his clients flexibility and peace-of-mind going forward.”
The two have shared several career honors such as CBRE’s Top 225 in 2009 and 2010, Transwestern’s top Virginia producer in 2002, and Tranwestern’s Transaction of the Year Award in 2002.
Mr. Clark earned a Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Real Estate from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoffeditz graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business and Finance.
